THE FUNDAMENTAL ROLE OF THE RESEARCH METHOD IN LAW EDUCATION

Research has become increasingly crucial in the social sciences, not only in the training of students, but also in the management of professional processes. In this sense, it is essential to focus on the proper use of the research method, since it contributes to finding solutions to scientific problems and to fulfill the objectives of research training. However, significant problems have been identified in the methodological design or profile of research in law. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the methodological approach followed in research in law, making use of scientific methods, in order to evaluate the precise use of research methods in law, according to the needs raised by the student proposals. For this purpose, a descriptive a posteriori study design was carried out with a mixed paradigm and an inductive model. The methods used included documentary analysis and scientific observation, carried out in a direct and participatory manner, to obtain information on the particular use of methods in research. As a main result, an inadequate use of research methods in law research by students was observed.
