摘要
Scalp and calvarium reconstruction encompass the full spectrum of the reconstructive ladder. This region is anatomically challenging to reconstruct due to its thin nature, mechanical properties, and distance from large vessels. The reconstructive popula-tions are commonly elderly, previously radiated, and have poor healing potential. A thorough patient evaluation is necessary to understand a patient's reconstruction goals. The reconstructive surgeon should consider a variety of reconstructive options and select the simplest reconstructive approach, which meets the patient's goals.
