摘要
Composite members of different types are increasingly employed in significant constructions due to their increased strength and advantages. Concrete-Filled Double-Skin Tubular (CFDST) columns, represents the composite domain, are increasingly being employed in favour of traditional reinforced concrete (RCC) and steel (S) columns because of their greater stability. Steel tubes in circular CFDST columns include sandwiched concrete, raising the column's ultimate axial strength and ductility. This research reveals how the external tube section thickness, internal tube section thickness, and hollow ratio influence the structural performance of circular CFDST short columns. The results of an axial compressive load test on CFDST columns are also incorporated in the analytical investigation. To ensure the structural performance of the CFDST column a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is performed. For computational modeling, it is necessary to have concrete as well as steel, material models. The present investigation makes advantage of the material models developed in earlier research. The findings are validated by comparing the FEA results to the findings from experiments. The influence of hollow ratio and steel tube thickness on the optimum axial force that CFDST columns can carry is determined by a parametric investigation. The goal of the parametric investigation is to identify the parameters that affect the relationship between column load and displacement in CFDST.
