摘要
In this review, we discuss some of the usages of dissipative dipolar systems in the context of quantum technology. Due to the presence of a thermal environment, long-time storage and processing of quantum information is challenging. We provide two examples, where the quantum coherence and entanglement can be preserved for a long time scale using the dissipative dipolar systems. In the third example, we discuss the effect of the rapid rotation in reducing the line broadening of NMR spectrum of such systems. Our main focus is on the second-order effect of dipolar coupling in all the cases mentioned above. There are several ways to calculate such second-order effects. Hence, we present a brief overview of the dynamics of a dissipative dipolar coupled system and also show that the recently proposed fluctuation-regulated quantum master equation (FRQME) is an efficient tool for the theoretical analysis of such systems.
