摘要
In the present study, nanostructures comprising of gold nanoparticles supported on a natural polysaccharide matrix chitosan (Au/CS) were successfully synthesized. The fabricated Au/CS was characterized and investigated for their effectiveness as a surface-enhanced Raman scattering sensing platform for aqueous solutions of malachite green and crystal violet dyes with low detection limits. The Au/CS nanocomposites could serve as a catalyst for efficient degradation of Congo red dye and Cr (VI) metal under reduction process. The removal was found 100% for Congo red dye and Cr (VI) in 25 min and synergy mechanism confirmed by the first-order kinetics study. The antibacterial activity of Au/CS nanocomposites was tested versus Gram+/- pathogenic bacteria. The findings displayed the highest bactericidal progress at a higher concentration. The cytotoxicity of Au/CS nanocomposites was investigated by the breast cancer cell lines. The gold-chitosan nanocomposite has been used for several applications for the first time. The special capability and efficiency of this nanocomposite in these fields are one of the novelties of this study. This work can lead to further manufacturing innovation in the future.
