摘要
Over the last two decades various contaminants of emerging concerns such as endocrine disrupting compounds including PPCPs have been of interests to water industry because of their incomplete removal during the typical water and waste water treatment processes. Till date number of methods including photo catalytic, electrochemical and biological degradation have been utilized. Recently the potential environmental applications of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have gained attention as promising sorptive material for removal of emerging contaminants due to their advantage of adjustable composition diverse structure, high surface area controllable pore size and recyclability. The present review critically addresses the performances of the MOF for the adsorptive removal of different categories of PPCPs from waste water.
