Solvent extraction of Eu(III), Am(III) and Cm(III) by N,N,N', N'-tetrabutyldiglycolamide: Can the diluent participate in the extraction?

摘要
The complexation of Eu(III), Am(III) and Cm(III) during the extraction of them by N,N,N',N'-ter-abutyldiglycolamide in 9 diluents from nitric acid solutions was examined. The composition of the extracted species was determined by the slope analysis. The Kex. values were calculated for all the systems studied. The influence of the nature of the diluent on the extraction of the listed metal ions was studied. The complex of Am (NO3) with N,N,N',N'-tetraethyldiglycolamide was isolated in crystalline form and characterized by X-ray diffraction.
