摘要
Uterine fibroids, or leiomyomas, are the most-common benign tumors affecting women of reproductive age. Women with fibroids frequently experience significant clinical symptoms, including heavy menstrual bleeding, dysmenorrhea, pelvic-pressure symptoms, back pain, subfertility, and diminished quality of life. Submucosal leiomyomas, originating from myometrial cells located beneath the endometrium, account for similar to 15%-20% of all fibroids. Hysteroscopic myomectomy has emerged as a valuable surgical approach to managing submucosal fibroids, offering a minimally invasive option with favorable outcomes. Herein, this article provides an indepth overview of hysteroscopic myomectomy, encompassing a concise analysis of the pathology, clinical manifestations, hysteroscopic surgical techniques, preoperative and postoperative care, and potential complications. Overall, the article is a valuable resource for clinicians who manage patients with uterine fibroids. By highlighting the benefits, techniques, outcomes, and advancements associated with hysteroscopic myomectomy, the goal is to promote its widespread adoption and optimize patient care for women suffering from symptomatic fibroids.
