摘要
This paper details aspects related to increasing the fire resistance of combustible materials made of wood and textiles, through the chemical protection process known as fireproofing. This process is of major importance in ensuring prolonged fire resistance for building elements based on combustible materials, as it is necessary for both the protection of the building itself and the protection of material goods and people inside. The contribution of the paper consists of an experimental study on the effectiveness of fireproofing, through a series of laboratory investigations carried out on wood and woodbased products, with various thicknesses, fireproofed with simple and complete protection fireproofing products available on the market, with mentions regarding the fire reaction class of wood after fireproofing.
