摘要
Pristine SnO2 and SnO2/Ti3C2 MXene nanocomposite were synthesized by facile hydrothermal technique. XRD analysis confirmed the formation of rutile structure of SnO2. Raman peaks around 405, 623, 1350, and 1600 cm-1 of SnO2/Ti3C2 Mxene nanocomposite correspond to the Eg, Ag, D band, and G band, respectively. The morphological and compositional analysis was performed using FESEM and EDS analysis. Micro structural properties evaluated from HRTEM analysis were in good agreement with XRD analysis. Surface properties and chemical states of the synthesized material were investigated using XPS analysis. The photocatalytic performance of the synthesized material was analyzed against Methylene Blue (MB) dye. The photocatalytic activity of SnO2, and SnO2/Ti3C2 MXene nanocomposite revealed the degradation of MB about 22 % and 70 %, respectively for a period of 120 min which indicated the enhancement of degradation efficiency for SnO2/Ti3C2 MXene nanocomposite compared to pristine SnO2.
