摘要
In this article, we introduce a wide-band quasi-Yagi antenna and its proposed 4x1 array system with radio wave propagation analysis for mm-Wave 5G mobile terminals. The suggested antenna array is designed using a basic planar Quasi-Yagi-Uda topology so that it may be incorporated into 5G mobile terminals. A single antenna with a gain of 7.65 dBi at 24 GHz and 8.37 dBi at 28 GHz with a reflection coefficient (S-11<-10dB) of 26% (23-30 GHz). A pair of 4x1 linear quasi-Yagi antenna arrays have also been integrated into the mobile terminal's top and right-side frames. The proposed array configurations can occupy an overall size of 66x46x0.254 mm(3) with 0.7 lambda(0) center-to-center element spacing and have a low mutual coupling of -40 dB obtained for antenna arrays. The results demonstrate that the proposed two separate 4x1 linear quasi-Yagi antenna arrays exhibit peak gains of 14 dBi and 15 dBi at frequencies of 24 GHz and 28 GHz, respectively, and a broad impedance bandwidth covering the 5G-n258 frequency band. Radio wave propagation analysis and virtual drive test are performed with antenna radiation performance. With the above radiation characteristics, the proposed antenna is an ideal solutionfor 5G millimeter-Wave cellular terminals applications.
