Fractional-order adaptive sliding mode control with disturbance observer for frequency regulation in isolated microgrid

摘要
Nowadays, the penetration of microgrids has gradually increased to meet the load demand in remote areas. The demand has been fulfilled by the safe operation of the microgrid. The wind perturbation and other renewable resources perturbation affect the frequency oscillation in microgrid systems. A fractional-order adaptive sliding mode controller (FOASMC) is utilized in this research paper to solve the microgrid's (MG) frequency regulation problem in a hybrid power system. The model of MGs consists of diesel generators, fuel cells, wind power generators, and battery energy storage. The proposed technique involves the, FOASMC simultaneously regulating the frequency and output power variation of the DGs in response to load and wind power perturbations. This is done in order to mitigate the negative effects if may possess. To improve the performance of the MG, FOASMC has been redesigned with disturbance observer (DOB) with adaptation incorporated, resulting in DOB-FOASMC. The results obtained using the proposed DOB-FOASMC have been compared with SMC. The results analysis shows that the DOB-FOASMC is far superior to the conventional SMC.
