摘要
In this work, we reported a facile method to fabricate a liquid crystal/physical gel/polymer composite film. The liquid crystal physical gel was prepared by self-assembly of sorbitol-based gel factor in commercial liquid crystal E7. The polymer network was introduced to the system to optimize the electro-optical properties of the liquid crystal physical crystal. The electro-optical performance indicated that the driving voltage significantly reduced from 85 to 45 V and the contrast ratio was increased more than tripled when there was 8 wt% content of polymer.
