摘要
This study reports cast ultra-high-purity (UHP) Mg-Ge alloys that exhibited remarkably high corrosion resistance and good discharge performance as anodes for Mg-air batteries. The UHP Mg-0.5Ge had a corrosion rate of 0.15 mmy- 1 resistance is attributed to the low impurity content, the restricted HER, and the presence of a protective surface film. The energy density of Mg-0.5Ge is 37% higher than UHP Mg at 10 mA cm-2. The better discharge properties are ascribed to the more negative corrosion potential and suppressed NDE. , which is twice better than Mg's intrinsic corrosion rate of 0.3 mm y-1.
