摘要
In this paper, we present a system design for modern space-time trellis-coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (STTC-OFDM) systems by adding precoding techniques that provide orthogonal transformation. Although STTC-OFDM systems have been extensively studied, there are still opportunities for improvement. Therefore, we investigated the performance of the system by adding a Frank-Zadoff (FZ) matrix as a precoder that provides an orthogonal conversion to the system, in addition to a multiplexer and demultiplexer. Simulation results showed that the recommended FZ-STTC-OFDM system provides approximately 50 times better error floor performance for the typical urban COST-207 channel model and 400 times better error floor performance for the bad urban channel model compared to the conventional STTC-OFDM system at the same Eb/No value in terms of bit error rate (BER) performance.
