摘要
Background: The article is devoted to the analysis of fundamental Christian values, specifically the values of the social doctrine of the Church. It examines the basic baselines and documents that are connected with the idea of sustainable development. It interprets individual values that are associated with sustainability. It highlights important moments in history when attitudes and interpretations of values linked to sustainable development have changed. It compares the values of the Church's social doctrine with those of sustainable development and describes their common and different features. It defines the perspectives of a sustainable society, with special regard to social justice, and indicates ways of combining religious values with the values of sustainable development. Conclusion: In further studies in this area, it is appropriate to focus on a form of dialogue that promotes sustainability in society.
