摘要
The informal caregiver is fundamental in the life of the elderly and the quality of life of caregivers is negatively affected by the level of dependency of the elderly. The objective of this study was to analyze the profile and quality of life of informal caregivers during the care of older adults with chronic diseases at home. It was identified that the profile of the caregivers are mainly: women between 50-60 years of age with direct kinship, unemployed, living in the same address, without experience in care, but they do it out of affection, it was shown that they have a good quality of life, regardless of the excessive work, affecting only a little material well-being and loss of their rights. Although it was not significant, it can be said that quality of life is more affected in group 3 of adults with the two chronic diseases.
