摘要
The receiver function technique was developed in the 1970s and has since become an effective method for exploring the Earth's crust and upper mantle velocity using teleseismic P waves. Nearly 50 years of development have extensively improved the receiver function analysis technique. To tackle the limitations of the receiver function inversion, the theory of regularized inversion into receiver function inversion is introduced, and a second-order minimum gradient support (2nd-MGS) stabilizing functional is proposed. Moreover, model experiments showed that this method is optimal for characterizing the subsurface velocity interface. Frequency-division regularization inversion (FDRI) was implemented to improve the convergence of the receiver function inversion. Based on model tests and case studies, it was verified that FDRI can obtain a sharp and stable solution in the inversion of receiver functions.
