摘要：

The article presents an analysis of the economic activity of peasant families of the steppe zone of the Tobolsk province of the late 19(th) - early 20(th) century. The main features of peasant farming, as well as the traditions of organizing the work of peasant families are considered. The specifics of land use of the steppe zone of the Tobolsk province, affecting labor traditions in the conduct of economic activity, are shown. It is revealed that the labor traditions of peasant families were formed both under the influence of the peculiarities of the territory and as a result of borrowing the best practices, technologies and methods of farming.
