摘要
Photocatalysis is considered a most promising method for the exploitation of solar energy and it has been examined broadly owing to its unique characteristics such as low cost, cleanliness, high performance, and inexhaustibility. Perovskite-based materials are highly potent for the photocatalytic degradation of pollutants, especially in aquatic media. Although the state of art progress of perovskite material in wastewater treatment was not presented. Herein, we focused on the basics of perovskite, preparation methods, and its application for organic pollutants treatment. The photocatalytic mechanism and preparation methods with perovskite modification for pollutant degradation are introduced. The application for various pollutants degradation with future research directions has been discussed in detail. Nevertheless, the current knowledge about perovskite material application for pollutant degradation is still limited. This study serves as a reference for wastewater treatment through perovskite-based photocatalysts.
