EFFECT OF SPRAYING KINETIN, DAP LIQUID FERTILIZER, AND GROUND ADDING ON THE VEGETATIVE GROWTH TRAITS OF TWO CULTIVARS OF BREAD WHEAT

摘要
A field experiment was conducted in winter season 2021-2022 at the research station of the College of Agriculture, Al-Qasim Green University, to study the effect of spraying kinetin, DAP liquid fertilizer and ground application on the vegetative growth traits of two cultivars of wheat crop. In implementing the experiment, a randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used in a split-split plot with three replicates. The main plots included three concentrations of kinetin (0, 50 and 100) mg.L-1, while the Sub plot included four levels of DAP fertilizer, which are (without spraying, spraying at 2 branches, spraying at 2 and 5 branches, ground addition of DAP fertilizer 100 kg.ha(-1)), while the sub plots were (Sub Sub - Plot included two cultivar of wheat, namely (IPA 99 and Wafih). The most important results were as follows: The concentration of kinetin had a significant effect on the vegetative growth traits, the concentration of 50 mg L-1 recorded the shortest period from cultivation to 50% flowering, which amounted to 97.21 days. While the concentration 100 mg L-1 excelled in each of the plant height 100.48 cm, the flag leaf area 38.41 cm(2), and the leaf content of chlorophyll 56.25 spad. The internodes length is 29.23 cm and the length of the spike is 12.01 cm. The treatment of ground addition of DAP with the treatment of spraying of liquid DAP at 2 + 5 gave the lowest average number of days from sowing to 50% flowering of 96.89 days. It also gave the highest mean for each of the plant height 101.47 cm, the flag leaf area 38.23 cm(2), the leaves content of chlorophyll 57.14 spad, the internodes length 31.08 cm and the length of the spike 12.14 cm. The cultivar IPA 99 recorded the shortest period of cultivation to 50% flowering, which amounted to 97.61 days. It also excelled in giving the highest average for each of the plant height 103.04 cm, the flag leaf area 37.22 cm(2) and the internodes length 30.23 cm. As for the cultivar in it, the highest mean of the spike length was 11.89 cm. The bi and triple interactions had a significant effect on most of the vegetative growth traits.
