OPTIMIZING THE LEARNING PROCESS THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE SKILLS: AN INVESTIGATION IN EDUCATION

The use of emotional intelligence strategies and techniques in education is essential for the development of the learning process. Teachers should not only transmit information and knowledge, but also guide students in the management and control of their emotions, cultivate patience, promote class participation and create a positive environment with all the actors involved in education. With this objective in mind, qualitative-quantitative research was carried out in the Eloy Alfaro Educational Unit, where it was evidenced that emotional intelligence techniques are not used and there is limited knowledge about them. It was shown that the proper application of these techniques can significantly improve the learning process of students.
