摘要
This paper presents the design of Wideband Ultra Low Noise room temperature Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) for radio astronomy applications in 500-1500 MHz frequency band. The Circuit Design, Simulation and optimization were performed using Advance Design Systems (ADS) software. The LNA is a 3-stage cascade amplifier, designed using Avago Make ATF54143 E-pHEMT device. The designed amplifier has a flat gain of 40 +/- 0.5 dB and noise temperature of 40 degrees k (similar to 0.5 dB) at room temperature over the desired frequency band. The LNA is unconditionally stable with good input (S11) and output (S22) match over the band. It has a very high dynamic range with P1dB of +10 dBm and TOI of +15.5 dBm. With this specification it is ideal to be used in radio astronomy applications.
