摘要
This paper proposes a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) model predictive control (MPC) strategy for demand management of an integrated water distribution system (WDS) supplied by an islanded microgrid (MG) system. Unlike the existing open-loop microgrid energy management systems that often ignore the inherent interlinks between the water and energy supplies, the proposed closed-loop optimization framework leverages these interlinks to provide an optimal and stable delivery of clean water and electricity to islanded communities. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed interlinked water-energy MPC algorithm to provide efficient water and energy demand management, ensuring the reliability of MPC in both systems concurrently for real-time demand management.
