摘要
A novel ligand, 2-(1, 3-benzothiazol-2-ylamino)-N-(5-chloro-2-hydroxyphenyl)acetamide (BCA) and its Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) complexes have been synthesised. The ligand and their complexes have been char-acterised by 1H,13C, NMR, IR, UV-visible, mass spectra, TGA and P-XRD studies. The spectral data indicate that the ligand is tridentate and produce distorted octahedral geometry around the metal ion. The elec-trocatalytic ability of [Co(BCA)2]Cl2/GCE (modified electrode) under different concentrations of glucose and H2O2 were verified with cyclic voltammetry studies (CV). The modified electrode worked as a good sensor with glucose and H2O2 at the concentration 0.4 to 2 mu ML-1 and 0.2 to 0.8 mu ML-1 with limit of detection (LOD) of 0.133 mu M and 0.0666 mu M respectively. This electrode exhibit the sensitivity of 1.89 and 2.8784 mu A mu M-1 cm -2 for glucose and H2O2 respectively. Thus, the modified electrode performed bet-ter, had a longer shelf life and produced more reduplication and procreation. The established procedure was used to examine the bio efficiency of the synthesised ligand and its metal-coordinated compounds against bacteria and fungi. In addition, BCA and its metal compounds were tested for antioxidant and cytotoxic effects on three different cell strains (P53, HeLa and Hep-G2). The Co(II) and Cu (II) complexes exhibited excellent cytotoxicity for P53 and HeLa cell lines. Further, the molecular docking studies on cancer receptors were done to investigate the binding efficiency of metal complexes.(c) 2022 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
