Sino-US divergences and the reconfiguration of Latin American foreign policy. Introduction to the special issue

This special issue of UNISCI focuses on the growing rivalry between the United States and China in the Latin American context. It aims to offer a comprehensive overview of the role of these powers in the region and the adaptation that Latin American states have had to make in the context of their foreign policy. To this end, it analyses dimensions linked to both security and trade relations between these nations and the two currently dominant states on the international geopolitical stage.
