摘要
For the tightly organized time management in the pediatric practice, it is important to be able to rely on structured anamnestic guidelines on the topic of sleep disorders. Otherwise, the topic of sleep could often go beyond the time frame of a consultation session. The following article provides pediatricians with the opportunity to obtain an overview of possible sleep disorders in children and adolescents without spending a lot of time. An age-related questionnaire is a tried and tested means of doing this. If there are indications of sleep disorders, it is recommended to keep a sleep-wake log for 3 weeks (https://www.khporz.de/de/fachbereiche-und-zentren/kinderklinik/flyer-infos-zum-download.html), which can be discussed with the parents in a separate appointment. In addition to the recommendations described in this article, there is written information for parents (https://www.dgsm.de/gesellschaft/fuer-patienten/ratgeber-schlafstoerungen) that can be given to the parents. In this way, it can be possible to offer a comprehensive range of advice for children and adolescents with sleep disorders and to initiate therapeutic measures in a timely manner.
