摘要
Ti/PbO2 electrodes without and with Fe3+ (0.1 M) doping were successfully synthesized via electroplating technology. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to characterize electrode morphology. Also, linear scanning voltammetry (LSV) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) tests were carried out to analyze the electrochemical performance of the electrodes. The electrocatalytic activity of Ti/PbO2-0.1Fe was examined by electrocatalytic oxidation of Reactive Yellow 14 (RY14) azo dye by studying the effect of various parameters, including pH, temperature, KCl addition, and current density. The efficiency of the electrocatalytic oxidation process was evaluated by UV-visible spectrometry and chemical oxygen demand (COD). The findings indicated that Fe3+ (0.1 M) could reduce the particle to a smaller dimension and enhance the oxygen evolution potential (OEP). A broad anodic peak was observed for both prepared electrodes in the CV test indicating that RY14 dye oxidation occurred easily on the surface of these tested anodes. Bulk electrolysis demonstrates that the Ti/PbO2-0.1Fe electrode exhibits significant electrocatalytic activity for the degradation of RY14.
