DIDACTIC PROPOSAL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF READING COMPREHENSION IN HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS

摘要
The objective of this research is to elaborate a didactic proposal to develop the reading comprehension of the students of the Education career of the Catholic University of Cuenca. The methodology was of a non-experimental type, with a quantitative approach, with descriptive statistics, of a cross-sectional cohort, the simple size is 41 students of the fou he objective of this research is to elaborate a didactic proposal to develop the reading comprehension of the students of the Education career of the Catholic University of Cuenca. The methodology was of a non-experimental type, with a quantitative approach, with descriptive statistics, of a cross-sectional cohort, the sample size is 41 students of the fourth, sixth and eighth cycle, the survey technique was used with a questionnaire with the scale Likert, validated by Conbrach's Alpha; a normality analysis was performed using the JASPS program, it was shown that all the variables were non-parametric. The results obtained showed that 97% of the students fully agree that reading is important in the learning process, with 95% that reading comprehension difficulties affect all areas of knowledge, with 92%. the application of digital tools serves to improve reading comprehension and develop reading skills. For this problem, a didactic proposal was elaborated with the technological tool Padlet, it uses videos, images, audio, which will serve as support in the continuous improvement of reading comprehension, allowing to energize the educacional process in higher education.
