The article is devoted to the study of biblical motifs in the poetry of Paul Celan. It is established that the theme of God is often heard in Celan's works. First of all, because the poet is deeply immersed in the theme of war, and then Celan's appeals to God become clear and natural. This motif is characteristic of the poetry of the Whole, since he received a special education at the Safa Ivriya school, where the teaching of Hebrew, the language of Scripture, was inextricably linked with the study of the Torah and Jewish spiritual culture. In addition, the author refers to highly educated people of his time. Due to the fact that the theme of God and the Passion of Christ is one of the deepest layers of world culture, it also becomes the most important for Celan in his work. The works of the poet, well-known to the reader, and the poem "Wirk nicht voraus" which is considered the last, since it ends the last book of poems prepared by the poet himself, are considered. It is argued that Celan's thought is inextricably linked with biblical motives, with the theme of the passion of Christ. The poet's creativity is characterized by the technique of "quoting", borrowing a line from another poet's work, he enters into a dialogue with him. The Bible is a book that Celan quotes especially often, but it is not a direct quotation, it is always an author's, encrypted processing of the themes and symbols of the book of books. It is demonstrated that Celan is rooted in the religious tradition of the Jews, when the name of God is forbidden not only to pronounce, but even to write. Hence the controversial author's neologisms "Nobody", "Nothing" grow. That's what the poet calls God. It is claimed that this is not provocative blasphemy, but a special Celan encryption. It is concluded that the poetic thought of Paul Celan is permeated with themes and images of the Bible, rich in religious symbols. The language of his poems is close to biblical speech. And poetic baggage is an attempt to get to know God with the help of your creativity.
