摘要
This study basically consists of three stages. In the first stage, an elliptical microstrip antenna operating in the frequency range of 1 GHz -10 GHz, where the variation in the conductivity value of the lung is high, is designed. In the second stage, a chest model in which a tumor with different diameters can be placed was created using the CST program. In the third stage, the transmitter and receiver antenna is placed in the most appropriate way for the chest model; depending on the diameter and number of the tumor, the echoes of the signal sent from the transmitter were recorded with the receiving antenna. The amplitude and time characteristics of the signal obtained in the case of a single tumor ranging from 1 mm in diameter to 30 mm in 1 mm intervals were extracted. The diameter of the tumor placed inside the lung was estimated by using the amplitude and time characteristics of the received signal. A new mathematical model has been proposed from the analysis results that give the tumor diameter 99.4% accuracy by multiple regression analysis. In the last stage of the study, the presence of more than one tumor in the lung was examined with eight different scenarios, and evaluations were made based on tumor diameters and locations.
