Interculturality asan instrument for the internationalization of education in the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries

摘要
This study aims to analyze interculturality as an instrument of educational internationalization in the intersection between the normative agendas of Unesco and the Community of Portuguese Spea-king Countries (CPLP). Therefore, based on a qualitative approach, a bibliographical and documentary research was developed, in which the corpus of analysis corresponded to the two strategic plans of cooperation in education instituted by the CPLP and the World Declaration on Education for All of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (Unesco) - Incheon (Unesco, 2016). This investigation showed that if, on the one hand, the Incheon Declaration advocates the relevance of interculturality as a link of international cooperation in education, on the other hand, it defends that this process results from a vertical cooperation in a perspective of influence of hegemonic countries, especially those in the northern hemisphere. Thus, CPLP seeks to distance itself from this perspec-tive by promoting the Portuguese language as an instrument of interculturality and, thus, constituting itself as a perspective of educational policy against the hegemonic international cooperation between Portuguese-speaking countries.
