Spatial variability of selected properties of agriculturally used soils in the post-mining subsidence basin

Soil samples from the 0-25 cm layer were collected on agricultural land within the post-mining geomech. degradation area. Their granulometric compn., bulk d., solid phase d., total porosity, org. matter content, and permeability coeff. were detd. The spatial variability of the studied soil properties was detd. using the kriging method. The designated points of the empirical semivariograms were described with math. functions, creating theoretical variograms. The performed calcns. allowed for the prepn. of maps of variability isolines, which may constitute the basis for detg. the border areas most susceptible to soil degradation. The geostatistical kriging method used is a very useful computational tool for detg. the spatial variability of soil properties undergoing degradation processes.
