摘要
In the present study, the ceramic powder Ba2NaNb5O15 (BNN) was synthesized using the solid route reaction method. The BNN ceramic powder underwent characterization using various techniques, including scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and Raman spectroscopy. The focus of the study then shifted to investigating the potential of BNN as a catalyst for degrading a cationic dye called Methylene Blue (MB) by photocatalysis, piezocatalysis, and piezo-photocatalysis processes. The results of the study indicated that the synergistic performance of photocatalysis and piezocatalysis processes exhibited a more effective performance compared to each process operating individually. This suggests that the simultaneous use of both processes enhances the degradation efficiency of the dye, showing promising results for potential applications in environmental pollution remediation. Further, in the context of to piezocatalysis process for dye degradation application a new emerging ball milling technique was utilized to explore the potentiality of the BNN ceramic powder.
