摘要
Synthetic dyes are significant environmental issues brought on by the release of coloured effluent into the hydrosphere. In our study, we employed polyaniline functionalized cobalt phosphate for adsorption of cationic dye malachite green from an aqueous solution. The adsorption capacity of the adsorbents towards MG was found in the order of PANI < CoP < CoP@PANI nanocomposites at room temperature and pH 7. The MG adsorption process followed the pseudo-second-order kinetics (R-2 = 0.99). The maximum adsorption capacity (q(m)) evaluated from the Langmuir isotherm model was 185.62 mg g(-1) comparable to the equilibrium adsorption capacity (170.4 mg g(-1)).
