摘要
In the attention paid by some contemporary philosophers to the classical the-me of philosophy as care for the soul and as a way of life, there are diverse affinities. Pierre Hadot prefers the Stoics; Michel Foucault, the Cynics; Jan Patocka, Socrates and Plato etc. In this article we argue that some of the core points of the Franciscan way of life of the early days connect closely with those of the care for the soul of the ancients (either transforming them or radicalizing them) and can constitute a valuable source of inspiration for the crossroads in which our social present moves, and for our philosophical horizon.
