摘要
This article aims to analyze the contributions of adapted physical education to the socialization of people with intellectual and multiple disabilities, from the perception of managers of 12 APAEs that make up the region of Medio Alto Uruguai/RS. It is characterized under the point of view of its nature as applied research, qualitative, of descriptive observational character, with analysis and discussion under the qualitative paradigm. The main instrument for data collection was a semi-structured interview carried out with the managers online. The results indicated that all managers mentioned the relevant contributions of adapted physical education to the socialization of people with disabilities. They also indicated that adapted physical education has been an important ally in the learning of people with disabilities. For the managers, physical education, when adapted, can meet the needs of people with disabilities and contribute to their socialization.
