Massless scalar scattering by a charged regular black hole

摘要
The scattering cross section of massless scalar waves in the background of an Ayon-Beato-Garcia electrically charged regular black hole is investigated. We obtain the scattering pattern by numerically solving the Klein-Gordon equation. We show that it is possible to find configurations for which the Ayon-Beato-Garcia regular black hole can mimic the scattering properties of the Reissner-Nordstrom black hole, for arbitrary values of the scattering angle and of the wave frequency, considering low-to-moderate values of the normalized electric charge. Our results suggest that the scattering spectra of regular and standard black holes can be indistinguishable.
