Metasurface-based Triangle Patch Antenna with Moon Shape Slot for Multi-band Applications

摘要
This paper presents a multi-band circularly polarized triangle patch antenna loaded with a metasurface. The design comprises two layers stacked on each other where the upper layer contains a 4x4 square corner truncated metasurface and the lower substrate contains an equilateral triangle patch with triangular and moon-shaped slots. The proposed antenna over all dimensions are 43x42x3.15 mm(3). The operating frequencies and the bandwidth offered by the proposed antenna are 360 MHz (5.47-5.83 GHz), 680 MHz (8.01-8.69 GHz), 490 MHz (10.03-10.52 GHz), 680 MHz (11.95-12.63 GHz), and 4.61 GHz (13.39-18 GHz) with a peak gain of 7.07dBi at 15.76 GHz. The antenna offers an axial ratio bandwidth of 100 MHz (15.08-15.18 GHz). The antenna suitable for multiband applications. Simulations were carried out using Ansys HFSS software.
