摘要
The effect of the heating temperature and the holding time on the decomposition kinetics of the high-temperature beta phase in VT22 and Ti-5553 titanium alloys is studied. The conditions of hardening heat treatment to achieve a hardness of 50 HRC are determined. The changes in the hardness during subsequent heating in vacuum to 580(degrees)C, which imitates the process of vacuum ion-plasma nitriding, are studied. Additional heating is shown to decrease in the hardness of the alloy by 1 HRC.
