摘要
In wire winding processes, the thermal pretreatments required in the wire manufacturing process pollute the wire with a lubricant and oxide mixture. This mixture disturbs the tribological conditions at the wire/tool interface during shaping and the final quality of the product to be obtained. During shaping, the lubricant and oxide mixture accumulates and creates a wear groove in the wire guide. The observation of these grooves in-dicates that the erosion is caused by the presence of third-body particles which initially crack the groove with a widening of the crack thereafter. The wire/tool contact is then reproduced under conditions close to industrial conditions on a pin-on-disc test. The influence of oxide pollution and lubricant quality on the conditions is measured and demonstrated.
