摘要
The present study seeks to describe health-promoting lifestyles according to Nola Pender's nursing model in students of the health sciences area of a Colombian university. The research was carried out under a cross-sectional quantitative approach where lifestyle was described by applying a sociodemographic survey and the PEVPII instrument by Nola Pender with the participation of 317 students from the Faculty of Health Sciences of a Colombian university, where non-parametric descriptive and correlational statistical tests were applied to their results for analysis using the IBM SPSS version 22 software. The sample consisted mainly of women (59.3%, n=188) with a single marital status between the ages of 18 and 23 years old, without children who live on rent or pension. The results showed low and medium levels of lifestyles both at a general level and by specific variable, also identifying associations between some variables such as sex and physical activity, sex and stress management, marital status and physical activity, and marital status and spiritual growth and socioeconomic status and interpersonal relationships. It is concluded that there is a trend towards low and medium levels of healthy lifestyles and that in some situations they are related to sociodemographic factors. It is necessary to develop campaigns that allow the improvement of the student's lifestyle, as well as to expand the studies from analytical designs.
