摘要：
This article investigates how the opposition of the past tenses perfect / imperfect and the future tenses present / future I are dealt with in didactic grammars for German as a foreign language. We pay attention to the temporal and aspectual semantics of these tenses and their pragmatic conditions of use in various communicative situations. In particular, we explore whether the explanations given in grammars for be-ginners and those for advanced learners show an appropriate progression.
