摘要
Electro-Fenton processes are one of the most promising Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs). However, the limited stability of electrocatalysts and the amount of in-situ generated H2O2 at the cathode are recognized as bottlenecks in their development and application. This study synthesized a CoFe bimetal-encapsulated carbon nanotube composite, utilizing the easily synthesized ZIF8 template for high-temperature carbonization post-CoFe introduction. When applied to dye chemical wastewater (BAA), the catalyst demonstrated outstanding performance and stability. In contrast to traditional Fenton methods, CoFe-NC enhances the in-situ accumulation of H2O2 and catalyzes the production of additional reactive species (center dot OH). Electroabsorption, anodic oxidation, and free radical oxidation roles were confirmed through N2/O2 electrocatalysis, biphasic experiments, and quenching studies. Furthermore, a potential pathway for the electro-Fenton degradation of BAA was proposed, and its toxicity was evaluated.
