Purpose of ReviewThe purpose of this review is to provide a comprehensive analysis of Fusarium onychomycosis, a fungal infection affecting the nails caused by various species of the genus Fusarium. The review aims to explore the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, and future perspectives of Fusarium onychomycosis.Recent FindingsRecent research has shed light on the taxonomy and different species of Fusarium implicated in onychomycosis, as well as the environmental sources and routes of infection. Advancements in laboratory diagnostic techniques, including molecular methods, have improved the accuracy of diagnosis. Furthermore, the review highlights the challenges associated with treatment, such as antifungal resistance, and discusses emerging treatment modalities and preventive measures.Onychomycosis caused by Fusarium species presents unique challenges in diagnosis and treatment.
