摘要
[This research compiles prescriptions for children that are described in different iatromagic papyri from ancient Egypt (Middle Kingdom-New Kingdom). The formulas have been analyzed according to their objectives, the possible pathologies that the prescriptions alleviate and their main beneficiaries. These prescriptions denote the requirements for and the effort invested by the population in keeping the youngest members of society alive and healthy during the most critical stages of their lives. Although the texts treat or diagnose varied and often imprecise illnesses and ailments, which for the most part left no trace in the osteoarchaeological record, they nonetheless contribute to the study of the living conditions of non-adult Egyptians. Prescriptions also provided a better understanding of children's socio-economic and environmental background]
