摘要
This article explores my journey of teaching Adventures of Huckleberry Finn to first-year undergraduate students in a Mumbai college. It outlines the pedagogical strategies and resources employed to make the text relevant in a "decolonized" classroom environment. It also retraces the path of discovery that Twain's voice reverberates not only with the present-day U.S. concerns, but also that Indian students can relate to his writings on race, imperialism, social justice, and empathy in their own cultural context.
