摘要
All care provided to critically ill newborns has both the potential to be harmful and the opportunity to be neuroprotective to the developing brain. Adopting best and potentially better practices in the 3 main areas of prevention of acquired injury, protection of normal maturation, and promotion of positive sensory experiences and relationships can mitigate the negative impact of NICU care on long-term outcomes and optimize and reinforce the resilience and strength of infants and families.
