摘要
A deep eutectic solvent (DES) is a low-melting liquid composed of a hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA) and hydrogen bond donor (HBD). It is prepared from readily available and inexpensive constituents that include many natural molecules like organic acids, alcohols, and sugars. Understanding the selfassembling behavior of amphiphiles in deep eutectic solvents will pave the way for new formulations in pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications. This review focuses on structural and thermodynamic aspects of DESs, the behavior of surfactants in different types of DESs, and applications of DESs and self-assembled structures in DESs in pharmaceutical technology.
