摘要
In this work, the UV-stimulated processesin the TiO2-COg system were exploredby in situ FTIRspectroscopyand photoelectron spectroscopy. Kinetic dependences of the total bandintensity for adsorbed CO and background absorption, as well as thepositions of the Fermi level in TiO2 before, during, andafter UV irradiation of the system, were analyzed and compared. Theobserved reversible shift in the adsorption-desorption equilibriumwas explained by changing the electronic state of the photocatalystunder UV irradiation. The proposed mechanism of photostimulated COadsorption and CO re-adsorption in the TiO2-COg system is described in detail. A deflection of reversibilityof molecular photodesorption-re-adsorption dynamics is causedby the side reaction of CO photooxidation and the formation of stronglybound surface carbonates.
